     Dr. M Hanninen MD, FRCPC, CCDS, CEPS


Dr. Hanninen is a dual-board (Canada and USA) certified Cardiologist and a Cardiac Device Specialist and Electrophysiologist. He has completed Cardiology training across Canada (AB, BC and ON) and Cardiac Device/EP training in London, ON and Bordeaux, France, in addition to publishing original research, review articles and textbook chapters in general cardiology, clinical electrophysiology and invasive rhythm management.


Dr. Hanninen's current areas of clinical focus include cardiac device implantation and management, cardiac intensive care, atrial fibrillation and heart failure. Dr. Hanninen is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Alberta. 




​     Dr. K Chan MD, FRCPC


Dr. Chan is a dual-board (Canada and USA) certified Cardiologist and is a specialist in Cardiac Ultrasound (Echocardiography). He is highly skilled in various forms of clinical cardiac echocardiography, including trans-thoracic echocardiography, trans-esophageal echocardiography and stress echocardiography. Dr. Chan completed medical training in Ontario and has trained in cardiology both in Ontario and Alberta. His areas of clinical interest and expertise include cardiovascular critical care, heart failure and valvular heart disease.


Dr Chan is actively involved in medical education and holds the title of Clinical Academic Colleague with the University of Alberta. He is currently the medical education director for Cardiology at the Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton.
